Sometimes size DOES matter

Let’s face it - not all dogs are built the same, so their gear shouldn’t be either. We’ve made it easier than ever to find the right gear for your dog by sorting our best sellers into size-specific categories. Because let’s face it, no one wants to walk their 60kg Great Dane on a lead made for a toy poodle or hand their Chihuahua a tug that’s bigger than their head. Right?

Still not sure?

The good news is, all of our products are made using weight tested materials. So yes, your horse-sized dog cantechnically stroll the streets with a lead designed for a puppy.

That said, we recommend choosing paracord thickness based on your dog’s size for one simple reason: comfort, practicality, and peace of mind. As the owner/handler, you are responsible for ensuring your dog is safe and comfortable.

As a general rule of thumb; when it comes to slip leads and collars, the bigger the neck, the wider the surface area you want. This helps keep your dog comfortable and ensures their natural movement isn’t restricted by their gear.

Feel free to walk your toy breed on a chunky 10mm clip lead, or your Irish wolfhound on a 6mm. It’s mostly down to personal preference and what your dog finds most comfortable.

If you’re still unsure, just drop us an email (we don’t always catch every DM or Facebook message) - we’re always happy to help.

Ball tugs, though? That’s a different story.

We always recommend choosing the right size tug for your dog, especially keeping bigger dogs away from small balls. And as always - supervise during play.
